Is it our “Share the Love” sale? Or a “Bloody Valentine”? Either way, we’re offering a variety of specials this February, and today I’m starting it early on the Evil Hat webstore.

You can find our specials page here: http://www.evilhat.com/store/index.php?main_page=specials

Highlights include:

- $7 off Swashbucklers of the 7 Skies, in both forms!

- $5 off Happy Birthday Robot (or $2 off the PDF)

- 13% off Don’t Rest Your Head (making it $13), or get the PDF for $3

- $6 off Spirit of the Century (or get the PDF for only $5)

But we’ve discounted other titles as well. Swing on by the specials page and have a look. http://www.evilhat.com/store/index.php?main_page=specials

(Addendum: These sale prices will manifest on DriveThruRPG and IPR sometime in the next 24 hours as well, in case you’d prefer to shop there!)

Different format this time, because I wanted to use a spreadsheet.

The high level “gut” view: sales were down (as expected) in the fourth quarter of last year, but not horridly so. In terms of sales volume, for example, Q4′s DFRPG sales were only a few hundred less than Q3′s for each title. That’s a palpable drop, sure, but not a “it’s drying up!” On top of that, we got a nice boost out of launching & selling our limited edition “Wizard” Fudge Dice, clearing over half of the units we produced in just a couple months through direct and distribution channels.

The quarter’s numbers from Q3 can be found on my previous post. While the percentage drop on the smaller volume titles was more brutal, comparatively speaking, the overall robustness of the DFRPG and the addition of the dice did nicely by us.

Here’s the high level sum-up. Lifetime sales-wise everything is looking pretty rosy. I’m particularly happy to see that Your Story is within striking distance of 10k copies sold (as always our lifetime totals reflect digital and print combined, but counting Print+PDF bundle sales as only a single sale, not one of each), and Our World falling just short of 8k. That’s a nice footprint for us and gives us a good shot at selling a few thousand copies of our in-development Paranet book, I think.

I’m not sure yet if I’ll be able to make this, but you sure as hell should try.

WHAT A FIASCO!

Join us on Saturday, March 19 from 3pm to 7pm at Labyrinth Games & Puzzles for “A Taste of Fiasco” with Jason Morningstar, the game’s designer! It is sure to be an afternoon filled with powerful ambition and poor impulse control. Jason will be joining us all the way from North Carolina to facilitate the games and sign your copy of Fiasco.

Fiasco is a role playing game that seeks to emulate Coen brothers’ films. You’ll play characters whose ambition exceeds their intelligence, and their schemes will all go south in a glorious pile of broken bodies and dreams. The pace is frantic, the humor is pitch black, and the end result is often as disturbing as it is hilarious.

No experience is necessary and all materials will be provided. All you need to bring to the table is enthusiasm and creativity. Space is limited. Due to the possible graphic content, players must be 18 or older. To reserve your seat, you must pre-register by e-mailing kathleen@labyrinthgameshop.com or calling Labyrinth at 202-544-1059. Labyrinth Games & Puzzles is located on Capitol Hill at 645 Pennsylvania Av. SE, Washington, DC 20003, a half block from Eastern Market metro station (blue/orange line).
